1. About these terms

This website is run by Valesta Group LTD, trading as Simplecard Business, registered in England and Wales under company number 14468408, registered office 60 Tottenham Court Road, Suite 5062a, Fitzrovia, London, W1T 2EW, United Kingdom. By using the website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.

When you order, our terms and conditions of sale also apply. Our privacy notice and cookie policy explain how we use personal data and cookies.

2. Using the website

You can browse the website and start designing without an account. The website is free to use, but we do not promise that it, or any part of it, will always be available or free of errors. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, for example for maintenance or to improve it.

You are responsible for your own internet access and devices.

3. Your account

• Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
• Keep your password safe and do not share your account. Use a separate account for each person; owners can invite colleagues to an organisation instead.
• You are responsible for what is done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
• You can turn on two-step sign-in in your account settings for extra security.

4. Our content and templates

We, or the people who license material to us, own the rights in the website, its software, the card templates and designs, the fonts we provide and the text and images on the website.

You may use our templates and designs only to create cards that you order from us. You must not copy, sell or reuse our templates, designs or the website's content elsewhere, for example by downloading preview images to print cards somewhere else, without our written permission.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the logos, photos, names and other content you add. You give us the licence described in our terms of sale so that we can show you previews and proofs, print your cards and run the service. You must have the right to use everything you add. We may remove or refuse content that breaks these terms.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the website:

• to design or order cards that look like, or could be mistaken for, identification from the police, a government department, the NHS, the armed forces, the emergency services, a court or another public authority, unless you are that organisation or are authorised by it;
• to imitate an official identity document, such as a passport, driving licence or national identity card;
• to create a false identity, pretend to be someone else, or show a person as working for or belonging to an organisation they are not part of;
• to use logos, trade marks, photos or designs without permission from their owner;
• to upload anything unlawful, threatening, hateful, obscene, discriminatory or defamatory;
• to upload other people's personal data without a lawful basis, or special category data (such as health information) unless we have agreed it in writing;
• to upload viruses or other harmful code, or files designed to overload or damage the service;
• to try to get into parts of the website, accounts or data you are not allowed to access, or to test, scan or probe our systems without our written permission;
• to copy the website with automated tools (scraping), overload it with requests, or copy, decompile or reverse engineer its software, except where the law allows; or
• for anything else that is unlawful or fraudulent.

Making or using fake identification can be a criminal offence. We may report suspected crime to the police and give them the information we hold.

7. If these terms are broken

If we reasonably believe you have broken these terms, we may remove content, refuse or cancel orders (with a full refund), and suspend or close your account. We will tell you why unless the law stops us or it would put someone at risk.

8. Reporting content

If you think something on our website, or a card made through it, breaks these terms or infringes your rights, including your trade mark or copyright, email support@business.simplecard.example. Tell us what the content is, where you saw it and why you think it is a problem. We will look into it promptly.

9. Links to other websites

Our website links to other websites, including our sister brands and the websites of our providers. Where a site is run by someone else, we are not responsible for its content or how it uses your data.

10. Our responsibility

We make reasonable efforts to keep the website accurate, available and secure, but information on it is general and may not always be up to date. Nothing on the website is professional advice.

If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses. If you use the website for a business, we are not responsible for loss of profits, sales, business, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill or reputation, business interruption or indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the website.

We are not responsible for damage to your device or content caused by a virus or other harmful material that we could not reasonably have prevented. Nothing in these terms limits responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

We may update these terms. The version and date at the top show when they last changed. Please check them from time to time.

12. Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or of Scotland or Northern Ireland if they live there. Business users agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
